John Huang is a first generation Chinese American who spent the majority of his youth growing up in the vastly caucasian-dominated suburbs of the Greater Cincinnati area. His two loving parents, Tiehong (Sherri) and Shaoli (Charlie) immigrated to the US in the mid-eighties to ensure that John (and later his younger brother Tommy) would never be without rice and noodles. Also, so that they could go to good colleges and have awesome jobs.

A recent graduate of Washington University, John currently resides in St. Louis, MO where he is research technician by day and professional DJ by night. Aside from blogging, his interests include cooking, graphic design, traveling, ninjas, breakdancing, collecting music and longboarding. And his favorite food are bananas. Duh.

Greetings from Hong Kong!
